Studying, eating...

The other day I came home from class to this:
Trent had to study for a test but he had to feed Ethan. Ethan just sat there watching Dad and eating away. Those are my boys.

Halloween

I haven't got around to posting pictures of Ethan in his cute Halloween costume that Ally and Orrin gave him. We went to our ward's Halloween party where Ethan and Jack were definitely two of the cutest kids ;). Here are some of the pictures Ally took.

Isn't Jack's little cow costume adorable?      Ethan's face in the above picture is priceless.

I am sure they were not too impressed...but at this stage, it's all for the parents anyway ;)

Here are some more pics of Ethan that I took the week before while I was making sure the costume would fit.

Cutest little boy ever!

Daddy's little helper

Trent has been working on some small projects like making new cutting boards for the other apartments in the complex, headlight polishing, and fixing scooters. He loves to bring Ethan outside to work with him and so he can "teach him".

Ethan liked the screwdriver...
Look at the excitement!

Here is when Trent was working on the cutting boards.

Today they worked on a scooter. It was really cold outside so Trent bundled up Ethan nice and warm...so cute! It is nice to know that Trent takes as good of care of Ethan as I would.

Also, this post would not be complete without boys in their "work hats". Trent FINALLY got his coveted green John Deere hat while at GIC a few weeks ago. It's still a wee too big for Ethan.

I just have to revisit the fact that Ethan adores Trent. We kept trying to get Ethan to look at the camera for the bottom picture, but he would not stop looking at Trent. He's for sure a daddy's boy. Pretty soon he'll be helping out for real.

Ethan LOVES to eat...just like his daddy

Ethan LOVES to eat...it makes me laugh. He is pretty content while the spoon is in his mouth, but when I pull it away to put more food on it he grabs my hands with his hands and pulls my hands back towards his mouth. Sometimes I have to push his hands away so I can actually maneuver the spoon! It makes me feel like I am starving him or something. Everyday I give him more and more food at each feeding but even today, when he had a record amount of food, he still cried when he was done because he wanted more! I have a feeling our grocery bill is going to be quite large when he is older...he's got a hollow leg just like Trent.

Before...
...and after.

Ethan is six months old today!!

I cannot believe how the time has passed! I cannot believe how much we love our little boy. He is the joy of our lives. Sometimes, I cannot wait for him to go down for a nap...but if he naps for longer than an hour and a half I get anxious waiting for him to wake up because I miss him!
He readily smiles and laughs-especially for Daddy. He is also ALWAYS on his stomach. He loves to sleep on his stomach now and even when out in the living room he rolls onto his stomach. Sometimes he starts to get fussy, so we roll him onto his back but almost instantly he rolls back onto his stomach...rather indecisive if you ask me.

I guess while he was protesting a nap yesterday he rolled from his stomach to his back for the first time! Trent and I missed it because we weren't in there...but at least we know he can do it if he gets mad enough ;).
I wish I was cutesy enough to have made Ethan a cake or cute treat for his six month celebration...but I know that he wouldn't have eaten any of it and that I would have been the one to eat most of it. Therefore, what's the point? I know, the point is to be cute...oh, well, I guess I missed that boat today. I vow to do something cute when he turns one year old!
I just love this onesie!

Shots today!

Ethan finally got his four month shots. He is such a trooper. he downed the oral vaccine (the nurse was impressed, she said most babies spit it back out) and I put his pacifier in to make sure he swallowed it all. Then she poked each leg and he didn't even cry! He just kind of grunted and murmured with his pacifier in his mouth for a minute or two and then he was fine...he is pretty tough I guess after getting poked in the foot every day for the first month of his life ;). He is such a trooper!

Ethan is sleeping on his stomach!!

On Wednesday night Ethan woke us up at least
seven times crying/grunting after he had rolled onto his stomach (needless to say we were EXAUSTED the next morning). Today though, he rolled onto his stomach and slept!! It was so cute. He had his face buried in the mattress but we felt his sides and knew he was breathing. I turned his head to the side but he stayed asleep for two hours! This is way longer than his normal naps, so wahoo! I think he wants to be a tummy sleeper!

Believe it or not he is asleep in both of these pictures...I just turned his head to the side in the second one because I was afraid he wouldn't be able to breathe!
